Asley L. Mármol. La Habana, Cuba, 1977. Poeta, narrador y novelista. Estudió Lengua y Literatura Españolas en la Universidad Pedagógica de La Habana Enrique José Varona. De 1996 a 1999 trabajó como vicedirector de la revista literaria Jácara editada por el grupo de escritores homónimo. Publicó, ese mismo año, el libro de poesía El cuerpo vivo (Ediciones Jácara). Sus obras aparecieron en diversas revistas y periódicos cubanos como Jácara, El caimán barbudo, Vitral, DeLiras, Unión, Alma Mater, etc. Impartió conferencias en las aulas de la Universidad Pedagógica como ayudante de Literatura Hispanoamericana y Cubana. Su manuscrito Por el oscuro sendero, fue finalista del premio nacional cubano Pinos Nuevos en la edición de 1999 de poesía. Fue incluido en las antologías: Poesía cubana de hoy, de verdad (Revista Literaria Jácara, La Habana, 1997); Cuerpo sobre cuerpo sobre cuerpo (Letras Cubanas, La Habana, 2000) Habiendo llegado al tiempo. Antología homenaje a Eliseo Diego. (Frente de Afirmación Hispanista, A. C. México, 2004). En los Países Bajos, donde residió desde finales de noviembre de 1999 hasta mayo de 2001, participó, como colaborador acreditado de la revista cultural bilingüe Amsterdam sur, donde aparecieron sus primeros poemas traducidos al holandés en la edición de otoño de 2000. También fue publicado en holandés en la revista cultural La chispa entre otras publicaciones. Durante su estancia en este país dictó conferencias sobre literatura cubana en la Facultad de Literatura y Cultura Latinoamericana de la Universidad de Leiden, en el club cultural La Tertulia, de Ámsterdam, en el Círculo Cervantes de Maastrich y en la Asociación Hispánica de La haya. Trabajó como Editor en Jefe del portal de noticias Cubanueva.com. En Estados Unidos ha colaborado con las revistas: Baquiana (Miami), Encuentro (España), Ideal (Miami); La nueva Cuba (Miami); los periódicos: The Political Reporter (Nueva Jersey), La palma (West Palm Beach), El latino semanal (West Palm Beach), El puente (Tampa), Centro Tampa (Tampa), Espacio4 (México), Otro Lunes (Madrid) entre otros. En 2009, la novela Magister Dixit fue publicada por Editorial Sigla (Port St. Lucie). Su libro de poemas bilingüe El esplendor (The Splendor) fue publicado por Verbum Editorial (Madrid) en mayo del 2019. Una colección bilingüe de cuentos titulada El Interior de la Montaña (The Interior of the Mountain) fue publicada en enero de 2020 por Ash Levi Publishers (Tampa). Su última novela, The Watchers, fue lanzada oficialmente en noviembre del 2020, publicada por Editorial Primigenios (Miami). Su libro de poemas El reflejo (The Reflection) fue publicado por Ilíada Ediciones (Berlín), en edición bilingüe en abril de 2023. Actualmente trabaja en su tercera novela Poemas de sangre.

He was included in the anthologies: Cuban poetry today, truly (Literary Magazine Jácara, Havana, 1997); Body over body over body (Letras Cubanas, Havana, 2000) Having Arrived at the Time. Anthology tribute to Eliseo Diego. (Hispanist Affirmation Front, A.C. Mexico, 2004). In the Netherlands, where he lived from the end of November 1999 to May 2001, he participated, as an accredited contributor to the bilingual cultural magazine Amsterdam south, where his first poems translated into Dutch appeared in the autumn of 2000 issue. He was also published in Dutch in the cultural magazine The Spark among other publications. During his stay in this country, he gave lectures on Cuban literature at the Faculty of Latin American Literature and Culture of the University of Leiden, at the La Tertulia Cultural Club in Amsterdam, at the Círculo Cervantes in Maastrich and at the Hispanic Association of The Hague. He worked as Editor-in-Chief of Cubanueva.com news portal.
